The map originally engraved in 1628, titled "Forma y Levantado de La Ciudad de Mexico," was reissued as a lithograph in 1907. As a pictorial map, it combines cartographic elements with artistic illustrations, offering a detailed bird's-eye view of the city in the early 17th century, including streets, rivers, bridges, landmarks, buildings, and parks. The city is surrounded by water, which corresponds to the historical layout, as it was built on the islands of Lake Texcoco. Major landmarks such as the Palacio Real, the cathedral, and the university are depicted and labeled with letters. A legend provides the corresponding references.
The map is characterized by its detailed and colorful depiction of urban and natural landscapes. The artistic style is both functional and decorative, serving as a navigation aid while simultaneously providing an aesthetically pleasing representation of the city.

Historical maps show traces of time and use, the intensity and nature of which vary depending on the map and its intended purpose. The print offered is a reproduction.
