This large-format map, titled "Plate I & II: Dr. Sven Hedin's travels in the eastern Pamir 1894 and 1895 by Colonel H. Byström," was published between 1916 and 1922 by the Lithographic Institute of the Swedish Army General Staff in Stockholm. The map summarizes Hedin's research routes using meticulously researched data from contemporary experts. It is part of a comprehensive scientific project to document one of the least explored regions of Asia in the early 20th century.
