This 1813 work is a finely engraved nautical chart focusing on the Skagerrak, the dangerous strait between the southeastern coast of Norway, the west coast of Sweden, and the Jutland peninsula in Denmark. The map extends from Lindesnes (the southern tip of Norway) eastward to Frederikshald (modern-day Halden, Norway) and from the Swedish coast near Gothenburg southward to the northern Danish coast on the Kattegat.
