The 1904 map "The Arctic Regions" (Edward Stanford Ltd.) is a significant work of the early 20th century that depicts the Arctic Circle and adjacent regions such as Greenland, Northern Canada, Alaska, Russia, and Scandinavia in great detail. It shows numerous islands and seas of the Arctic Ocean as well as clearly marked expedition routes of major explorers.
In the context of the strong interest in polar research around 1900, the map combines precise geographical information with the documentation of human exploration achievements: it serves as both a navigation aid and a historical record of the scientific and nationally motivated Arctic expeditions of that time and is considered very accurate and up-to-date for its era.

Historical maps show signs of time and use, the intensity and nature of which vary depending on the map and its intended purpose. The offered print is a reproduction.

You can order the print in the specified formats.
All maps are delivered unframed and packed securely. If a framed version is listed with the product dimensions and prices, you can also order it framed.

We strive to represent the colors as accurately as possible. However, due to different monitor and device settings (brightness, contrast, saturation), slight color deviations between the screen display and the print may occur.
